Welcome to the world of LO & WA

Thanks for coming. It’s nice to have you! You are currently in the LOWA children’s area, the home of our children’s mascots LO & WA and the peregrine falcon LOWINGO. You will learn all sorts of interesting things about LO & WA and LOWINGO here – things like the places where the three love to spend their time. We also have no intention of keeping you from hearing the exciting stories contained in the LO & WA adventure books. You can download each previous edition here. What’s more, they are free of charge. There is just one more thing for us to say: We hope you have a great time while reading and getting to know our children’s mascots.

How are children’s shoes developed by LOWA?

When children play and romp about outdoors, the emphasis is firmly on having fun. Parents’ main priority is knowing that their children are equipped as well as possible, especially when it comes to shoes. What should parents keep in mind when they buy children’s shoes?

LOWA has always devoted a lot of product development effort to the children’s footwear segment. For example, a special last that provides more space in the toe area is used to make all children’s shoes. Children require this space at the front of their shoes to ensure the healthy growth of their feet. That’s because children’s bone tissue is not yet fully developed, and their ligaments are still significantly more elastic. They also experience considerably less pain, because their nerves have not yet matured.

Children require this space at the front of their shoes to ensure the healthy growth of their feet. That’s because children’s bone tissue is not yet fully developed, and their ligaments are still significantly more elastic. They also experience considerably less pain, because their nerves have not yet matured.
